The Balloon Girl
They say a picture paints a thousand words.
I thought I knew my worth
Till the gavel dropped;
Now shredded and ripped apart
The lines are blurred.
The value increased somehow
And I can't tell if they look now,
Because of my fame or where I've been placed.
Intended to change so they would hate,
But in trying to alter how I was framed
I engrained in their minds my flaws and mistakes.
