Cruise Control

The human mind possesses an immense potential, but it can become a perilous journey if left to wander aimlessly.

My purpose is something I can no longer avoid; It gave me a weapon I now call my voice. I once came across it by accident, Now it’s here by choice.

Time to make another one: It can be merely a cheap toy, Or it can be so much more If properly deployed.

I admit,  It’s a great tool for both defensive and offensive tactics, But not as much When intrusive thoughts start to make advances.

When that happens…

my mind goes in circles

and panics

forgets its practice

put in passenger

denied access

scribbles clash on the page

violent reenactments

drives through carpal tunnels

into complacent blackness

And when I arrive I do not know the time; Still day but there is subtle sunshine, Likely a quarter past five.

Looking down,  I stare at the lines Another wrote, When I abandoned post Stuck on cruise control.
