Red Herrings

They say give a man a fish, he'll eat for a minute. However, teach a man to fish, he'll feed the whole village in an instant; Fathers, wives, brothers, sisters Helping all the starving children,

But envision  If red herrings were the only species of fish in existence, Doesn't matter what we chase in the sea Of genie wishes. They're all irrelevant; Loose threads we pull at, When we already have the required sentiment In the present tense.

We get stuck looking for somewhere to call a home  But perhaps we're our own sought settlement.

Maybe all we need is within, We just haven't undergone excavation yet, Instead focusing on several reasons that were non-receptive; Several seasons repetitive that were sedatives. I understand this was not necessarily voluntary or elective, But even if it was,  We both know you know in your heart it's rarely ever effective.

It only causes states which are depressive. I didn't take anatomy but I see, That a hollow heart is connected to the feelings which are oppressive, And if we don't Crane our necks towards the battles we're up against then, We'll never face where we could be-headed.
